On 25 October the La Melusa experimental estate (Ebro Hydrographic Confederation) hosted a meeting and exchange of experiences between the LIFE ARIMEDA (@lifearimeda) and LIFE AGRICLOSE projects. The focus of action for both projects is developing and demonstrating new sustainable management techniques for manure.
During the conference, LIFE AGRICLOSE officials had the chance to visit the test plots where the LIFE ARIMEDA project has grown its first crop of corn fertilised with slurry liquid fraction, using innovative fertirrigation techniques (pivot and drip).
Officials from the LIFE ARIMEDA project also had the chance to learn in detail about the activities planned for the next few years in the recently started LIFE AGRICLOSE project.
The meeting was of great interest to both teams, who found numerous synergies and possibilities for cooperation.
The visit was accompanied by experts from the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation, responsible for managing the La Melusa experimental estate and working actively with LIFE ARIMEDA, who showed great interest in the discussions throughout the day. They were excellent hosts and explained the history and value of the experimental estate to attendees and their interest in initiatives such as those promoted by both projects.
